HIS SERVANTS' MINISTRY

www.worldlychaos.org

Welcome to our website

Did you ever consider . . . just how narrow is that narrow way

If God did NOT ask you to do it and you do it, that is sin.  If God asked you to do something and you did not do it, that is sin.  If God asked you to do something and you tried to figure it out or tried to do it your way and in your own strength, that is sin.

God wants to be part of our life! He wants to be part of our thoughts, words and deeds.  He made us to fellowship with Him! This is the only way that we can find peaceful fulfillment. All else is sin. There are several types of sin, but they all come down to the following statement!
Everything that does NOT please God or originate from Him is sin.

The Law is spiritual, NOT physical!  LOVE fulfills the Law.  The Law can be summarized in the following words. The most important commandment is this: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind."  IF we fail to fulfill the most important commandment . . . THAT is BAD! When we fail this most important commandment, it is impossible to fulfill the second: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Mat.22:36-40).

Sin is a desire NOT to have anything to do with God.
Sin is a desire NOT to honor and glorify God.
Sin is a desire NOT to respect and reverence God.
Sin is a desire to CHANGE God’s Word, adding to it OR taking away from it so that one could follow one's own mind and will, which leads to spiritual death and is the cause of physical misery, sickness and death.
Sin is a desire be MORE that you are. Pride is a lack of humility, and that is sin.
ANYTHING that is not of FAITH in Christ and obedience to Him is sin.

Many supposed Christians say that they love the Lord Jesus, and walk as He walked. This is rarely true!

Question??? Do you know someone who claims that they are a “Christian” . . . but PRACTICE sin? There are many different ways a person can practice sin, I will bring just one. Do you know someone who says they are a Christian, but live in sin without being married? Their excuses might be: #1. I would lose my dead husband’s benefits if I re-married; #2. Everyone is doing it. #3. Times have changed.

My dear friend, God does NOT change (Mal.3:6), and God does NOT lie (Tit.1:2). IF we SAY we are a Christian, He EXPECTS us to walk the narrow road, just as His only begotten Son did!

Jesus warned that there would be ONLY a FEW who would walk that narrow road!
Matthew 7:13 -14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV)

SO . . . just how NARROW is that narrow way?

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [KJV] . . . There are MANY false professors today. They are hypocrites! They state with their mouth: “I’m a Christian.” They may think in their heart: “I’m on my way to Heaven”. But, IF they do NOT do what Jesus tells them to do, they are liars, deceiving themselves and the Truth in not in them (2 Thes.2:10). You must PROFESS Christ, yes; but you must also POSSESS Christ in your heart to be a TRUE Christian. You must also obey Christ! IF you are not sincere about your professing Christ, one day He will say some words you do not want to hear! Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV)

What Must I Do to be Saved! http://www.hisservants.org/what_must_i_do_to_be_saved_h_s.htm

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. [KJV] . . . If we love God we are made complete (perfected) in Him. There are commandments in “His Word”, to be sure, but His Word is more than that! His Word expresses His will for us; it also reveals to us what God is like. God tells us just how we should live. He also tells us if we live to please Him He will never leave nor forsake us (Heb.13:5), and He will give us strength to live that life (Jn.15:5; Phil.4:13). What more could we ask of Him?

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. [KJV] . . . HOW did Jesus “walk”? HOW did Jesus live? He lived in love, joy, peace, longsuffering (patience), gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness (humility not pride), temperance (self control). See Gal.5:22-23. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Gal.5:25). Jesus said: “I do always those things that please Him.” (Jn.8:29). Can you say these words? I cannot say these words because I would be lying! I can say I really do want to make Him smile, not frown, but all too often I know I fail Him terribly. If we love Jesus, we do NOT want to offend Him, we want to please Him. Do you love Jesus?

1 John 3:6  Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. (KJV) . . . NO one who abides in Christ can keep on sinning (practicing sin). NO one who continues to sin has either seen Him or known Him.

If we ‘abide in Him,' we will NOT ‘abide in sin’! We will NOT remain in sin; we will NOT practice sin; we will NOT live in sin! We CANNOT continue in sin. We simply CANNOT! We have God living within us (His Holy Spirit, Rom.8:9), and sin and purity just do NOT mix! Anyone who continues in sin, has not seen Him, nor has known Him! John is saying whoever keeps on in their sin is NOT God’s child. Very plain! Very clear! Very straight forward! FACT! TRUTH!

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. [KJV] . . . IF you keep on sinning, it shows you belong to Satan (verse 10), who since he first began to sin has kept on, steadily at it. It was because of this that the Son of God came to destroy these works of the devil.

What John is referring to has already been discussed. It is people who “continue on in sin’; it is ‘practicing sin’. John is talking about those who ‘keep on in their sin’, and then try to justify what they are doing. We ALL are tempted by the devil. He never rests. Where does Satan tempt people? It is where they are the weakest. We all have a weak spot, and in each of us it is different; and Satan knows what it is! That is where the devil will tempt you. Speaking for myself, there are times that I seem to be ‘continuing on in my sin’. The difference is, I really feel terrible when the devil wins, and sad to say, sometimes he does win. We as Christians will continue to struggle with sin, until we leave this world, for we still have our old sinful nature within us; and the old us and the new us keep butting heads. (See Ro.7:14-25). Even the great apostle Paul had to struggle with sin. The best TRUE Christians struggle with sin! Knowing this, makes me feel somewhat better. We must remember the power we have available to us.

1 John 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (KJV) . . . We must remember to take advantage of that power!

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. [KJV] . . . No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s Seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born again. The Holy Spirit will not allow it! He will convict us of sin!
Jesus said we MUST be “born again” (Jn.3:7). We must be born into God’s family (spiritually). And anyone who is ‘born of God’ will NOT make a habit of sinning. The moment we are ‘born again’ God graciously grants His Holy Spirit to us (His Seed). The Spirit remains in us and will convict our hearts when we sin. If you have been born again, you have a divine nature that is appalled each and every time you sin.
The Holy Spirit dwells in TRUE believers: (John 14:16-17,23; Rom.5:5; 8:9; 1 Cor.2:12; 3:16; 6:19; 12:13; Eph. 2:22; 4:6; Phil.2:13; 2 Tim.1:14; John 2:27; 4:12).

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (KJV) . . . In spite of his feeling like a wretched failure, as Paul records in Chapter 7, this chapter begins that there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. The fact is that the whole human race is on death row, and we are justly condemned for continually breaking God’s holy law. Without Jesus, NONE of us would have any hope at all. But praise God! He has declared us not guilty in the courts of Heaven, given us freedom from sin and power to do His will.

Romans 8:3-4 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (KJV) . . . The Law of Moses could not save us, so God put into effect a different plan. He sent His own Son in a human body like ours, except that it was perfect and sinless. Jesus gave His life as a sin offering for our sins and by doing so, the requirement of the law was fully attained for us. We no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (KJV) . . . A TRUE Christian’s deep desire is to have the Christ-like characteristics listed in Gal.5:22-23. It is only then that we know that the Holy Spirit is leading us. We must be careful not to confuse our imagined feelings with the Spirit’s leading.

Walk in the Spirit . . . being led by the Holy Spirit involves the desire to hear, the desire to do God’s will, not our own, the willing desire to obey God’s Word, and the wisdom to discern between our feelings and His promptings. We are to live each day controlled and guided by the Holy Spirit. Only then will the words of Christ be in your mind, the love of Christ be in your actions and words, and the power of Christ be able to help you control your selfish desires.
Lust of the flesh . . . refers to the desires of the flesh, many of which are really NOT immoral. There are many things which in themselves are NOT evil, but they can take the place of spiritual things IF we let them. If anything takes you away from God and that which is spiritual, then it is wrong.

Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (KJV) . . . We need to learn to lean on the Spirit of God. Yielding to Him is an act of the will. Do NOT ever quench the Spirit (1 Thes.5:19). Let Him work in your life! Start each day by saying, “Lord, help me live today in a way that pleases You.”

So, as you see, the narrow way is indeed VERY narrow! But dear one, a TRUE Christian has the Holy Spirit abiding within them to empower them!

Romans 8:8-11 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10  And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (KJV)  . . . Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. . . . A TRUE Christian has the Holy Spirit within them . . . an unbeliever does NOT, can NOT have the Spirit within them! (1 John 4:1-6). An unbeliever does NOT have the Holy Spirit within them.
Jude 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. (KJV)
1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (KJV)

Sin is failing to walk in the glory that God has planned for us.  All disobedience is rebellion . . . and rebellion separates us from God.

The Way to eternal life certainly is narrow! But I am here to tell you that that narrow Way is the ONLY Way!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)

YES! The Way is narrow . . . but my friend, it is wide enough for the whole world IF they desire to walk it!
