The KJV always speaks of Almighty God in a way that honors and glorifies Him. See some changes the false Bibles make that alter the Name of the Almighty in such a way that tends to lead astray.

Portions of verses that are underlined are omitted or drastically altered in modern bible versions.

Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. (KJV)

Jehovah is changed to the Lord in NIV, NASB, NAU, NLT, TEV

Joshua 22:22 The Lord God of gods, the Lord God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if it be in rebellion, or if in transgression against the Lord, (save us not this day,) (KJV)

The Lord God of gods is changed to “the mighty one” in NIV, NASB, NAU, TEV, ASV

Psalm 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. (KJV)

A little lower than the angels is changed to “a little lower than God” in NASB, NAU, NLT, ASV. Other versions are distorted.

Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (KJV)

Daniel 3:25 "Look!" Nebuchadnezzar shouted. "I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire. They aren't even hurt by the flames! And the fourth looks like a divine being!" (NLT)

Daniel 3:25 "Then why do I see four men walking around in the fire?" he asked. "They are not tied up, and they show no sign of being hurt—and the fourth one looks like an angel." (TEV)

Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of God. (Dar) God has only ONE begotten Son.

The Son of God is changed to “a son of the gods” in NIV, NASB, NAU, GW, ASV, YLT, NWT.

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (KJV)

The only begotten Son is replaced with “God the one and only” in NIV.

Begotten Son is replaced with “begotten God” in NASB, NAU. Other versions are also distorted.

John 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. (KJV)

The NIV, NWT changes the Christ to this/the man.

The NASB, NAU changes the Christ to this One.

Other versions also distort the verse.

Matthew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus. (KJV)

Firstborn” is removed from NIV, NASB, NAU, NLT, TEV, GW, ASV, NWT. This allows for false doctrines that say Mary remained a virgin forever and had no other children. “Firstborn” proves that Mary had more children after Jesus was born.

Luke 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. (KJV)

Joseph is replaced with “father” in NIV, NASB, NAU, TEV, GW, ASV, Dar, and "its" father in NWT. This places a lower value on Jesus, making Him appear to NOT be the only begotten Son of God, but simply the son of an earthly father. A baby Christian would probably think this.

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. (KJV)
