????Is JESUS Really GOD????

IS JESUS GOD? Book

Chapter 10, Theophanies in the Scriptures

Theophany, Shekinah, Glory of God

At the foot of Mount Sinai (Ex.24:9-11), God appeared to the “nobles” of Israel in a physical form of some kind. This is called a “theophany”. Below are some of the other times God appeared to Old Testament people.

The Lord appeared to Abraham to foretell Isaac’s birth.
Genesis 18:1-2
And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; [2] And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, (KJV) Since angels refuse worship, this certainly was NOT an angel. And, since God is Spirit, this has to be the preincarnate Jesus. An ordinary man or angel would have refused worship.
Genesis 18:10-11 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. [11] Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. (KJV)

The Angel of the Lord stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac.
Genesis 22:11
And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. (KJV)
Genesis 22:15-18 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, [16] And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: [17] That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; [18] And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. (KJV) The angel of the Lord is speaking; but the angel of the Lord promises to do what only God can do. This angel of the Lord is NOT a regular angel, because this Angel accepts the worship of Abraham, so this Angel is therefore a divine Being, the God of Abraham. This “Angel” is the preincarnate Christ.

Exodus 3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. (KJV) The Angel of the Lord announced Himself in a mighty way! This has to be the preincarnate Jesus. Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. (KJV) Jesus spoke the very same words in the New Testament.

God appeared to Israel in pillars of cloud and fire to guide them through the desert.
Exodus 13:21
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: (KJV) The Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud . . . and by night in a pillar of fire.

Exodus 14:19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: (KJV) The angel of God! This is language that applies or is appropriate to NO created being.

Psalm 99:6-7 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he answered them. [7] He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them. (KJV) The glory of God! A theophany.

The Lord spoke to Moses Face to face.
Exodus 33:11
And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. (KJV) Inside the Tent, the Lord (Jesus) spoke to Moses Face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Moses then returned to the camp, but Joshua stayed behind in the Tent. Why did Moses find such favor with God? Was it because he was perfect, gifted, or powerful. NO. It was because God chose Moses, and Moses in turn relied firmly on God’s wisdom and direction. Moses had a very special friendship with God; a great privilege . . . but out of reach for the other Hebrews. But it is NOT out of reach for us today, because of Jesus. We as believers, are His disciples today . . . His followers and His friends (John 15:15). We need to trust Jesus as Moses did?

Jesus appeared as the fourth man with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace.
Daniel 3:25
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (KJV) Faith like this is extremely rare! Those young men refused to worship the statue Nebuchadnezzar the king had made, and were thrown into a blazing hot furnace. Jesus came through for them. Read this amazing story in Daniel 3.

Daniel sees the preincarnate Jesus.
Daniel 7:13-14
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. [14] And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (KJV) What Daniel saw was the preincarnate Christ!

Daniel sees the transfigured Christ.
Daniel 10:5-6
Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: [6] His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. (KJV) Lifted up mine eyes . . . and he saw a certain man, literally the transfigured Christ. I cannot believe that this is an ordinary angel of God. Linen was the clothing of priests, a symbol of piety, more pure than wool (Ex.28:42); also of prophets (Jer.13:1); and of angels (Rev.15:6). A girdle was interwoven with gold (Rev. 1:13). His body looked like a radiant gem. From His face came flashes like lightning, and His eyes were like flaming torches. His arms and feet shone like polished brass, and His voice was like the roar of a multitude of people. This is Jesus as God! Also see: Daniel 12:6-7.
Daniel 10:8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. (KJV) What Daniel saw took all his strength away, like John below. Jesus is God!
Rev. 1:12-18
And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; [13] And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. [14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. [16] And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. [17] And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: [18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (KJV) The apostle John also saw the transfigured Christ. What John saw here was Jesus as God, not Jesus the Man he had known intimately for over three years.

A comment that is not in the original booklet: So many of today's Word Faith preachers say that they have been translated into Heaven and have seen Jesus. I will call them a liar! Anyone who 'saw' Jesus, like above, lost ALL their strength. I will also call them a liar because NO one can enter into Heaven in corrupt bodies, and ALL those who say they went into Heaven HAVE corrupt bodies! Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. (KJV) That means in eternity and it also means NOW! They are LIARS! BEWARE!!!

False teachers distort the Truth about Jesus and preach a different Jesus, a different spirit than the Holy Spirit, and a different gospel than God’s one and only way of salvation. Because the Bible is God’s Word and is never wrong, those who teach anything different from what it says, are WRONG and are misleading people. BEWARE! False teachers do NOT teach the TRUTH about Jesus. They teach another Jesus (2 Cor.11:4; Gal.1:7-8), and another gospel. BEWARE!!! They are the devil's children (1 Jn.3:10), and will lead you to HELL!!!
