Trembling At God's Word

To tremble at God’s Word means to: love it; accept it; agree with it; approve of; esteem; have a high opinion of; honor; humble themselves before it; sincerely receive it into our heart; reverence it; respect it; stand in awe of; worship it.

God truly desires that we reverence His Holy Word with a humble spirit, and yield ourselves completely to what He tells us in His awesome Book. I think that it is the duty and responsibility of TRUE Christians to make a positive impact on our society by honoring, reverencing, proclaiming and living in accordance with God’s guidelines in His Book.

God’s instructions in the Bible were given to us for our good, and anyone can benefit from following them. Our responsibility as Christians is to make positive contributions to our society by proclaiming, honoring, and living in accordance with God’s Word.

A person who trembles at God’s Word:
*****#1. Has a deep-seated desire to HEAR it!
*****#2. Has a heart-felt desire to BELIEVE it!
*****#3. Has a true intention to OBEY it!

Those who humble themselves before God’s Word, shall be blessed:
*****#1. God’s Word leads us to salvation, forgiveness of sin and eternal life in Heaven (John 3:15-16, 36; 5:24,39; 6:40,47; 10:27-30; 14:6; 1 John 5:10-13,20; Dan.12:1; Luke 10:20)
*****#2. God’s Word rightly guides our steps (Luke 1:79; John 16:13)
*****#3. God’s Word brings us wisdom (Jam.1:5; 3:17; 1 Cor.2:6-7)
*****#4. God’s Word brings us joy (John 17:13; Rom.12:12; 14:17; 15:13)
*****#5. God’s Word brings us peace (John 14:27; 16:33)

God loves and honors those who respect and reverence His Holy Word, which is truly His written message to us. When we believe Him and obey what He tells us, our lives are transformed drastically from what they were . . . a child of the devil TO a child of God!
1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. (KJV)

Closing comment: Even with all the wickedness in our corrupt world today, God is still in control. He never has nor ever shall lose control! He allows the evil to continue, and I think one main reason is that He is TESTING those in the world to see IF they will remain the devil’s child on the broad road to Hell OR take the narrow road with Jesus that leads to eternal life in Heaven.

IF you are a TRUE child of God, God is testing your faith! Will you stand firm in your stand with Jesus and the Holy Word of God . . . OR . . . will you knuckle under to the pressures of the world? It is YOUR decision! No one can make it for you. Salvation is an extremely personal thing!

IF you are still a child of the devil, the Holy Spirit is trying desperately to get your attention. You may be at the critical junction of your life.

A CRITICAL JUNCTION

There’s an important junction, most pass by,
A junction the Bible, does specify.
The majority stay on, the broad road,
And shall end up, in the devil’s abode.

At this junction, there is a small, lone path,
And all those who take it, escape God’s wrath.
Just a “few” walk it, God’s Word tells us clear,
But they walk with Jesus, always so near.

Those who walk the broad road, keep on in sin,
They listen to Satan, they cannot win.
They walk with the devil, and not our Lord,
There’s no desire to know, what’s in God’s Word.

Fools these are, who think not of eternity,
They must never consider, Hell’s agony.
Only the wise, believe God’s Word so true,
I wonder, does this small group, include you?

Each person at this junction, will one day stand,
The decision you make, lies in your hand.
There are just two roads, to eternity,
One to Heav’n’s bliss, one to Hell’s misery.

Are you at this critical junction, this day?
Will you go with Christ, or be Satan’s prey?
This most important choice, lies in your hand,
The wide road to Hell, the small one to Heav’n Land!
