(KJV) . . . All who believe in the Son of God know what God says about His Son is true. Those who refuse to believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don't believe God. God has given us eternal life, and this life is ONLY in His Son. Whosoever has God's Son has eternal life; but whosoever does not have His Son does not have eternal life. John wrote his letter so that we who believe in the Son of God, may KNOW we have eternal life. TRUE born again children of God KNOW that we have eternal life!

If any one saith, that man is truly absolved from his sins and justified, because that he assuredly believed himself absolved and justified; or, that no one is truly justified but he who believes himself justified; and that, by this faith alone, absolution and justification are effected; let him be anathema.

[15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. Eph. 1:3-7 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: [4] According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: [5] Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, [6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. [7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (KJV) . . . I certainly am assured that I am in the number of those predestinated. I KNOW I am going to Heaven to be with my Lord!

*****CANON 16. If any one saith, that he will for certain, of an absolute and infallible certainty, have that great gift of perseverance unto the end,-unless he have learned this by special revelation; let him be anathema.

The BIBLE states: Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (KJV) . . . A believer can have confidence and a firm HOPE to the end!

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (KJV) . . . God CANNOT lie!

Titus 3:5-7 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (KJV) . . . He declared us not guilty (justified in the courts of Heaven) because of His great kindness. Because of this we know that we will inherit eternal life.

Hebrews 6:11-12 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: [12] That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (KJV) . . . We have HOPE to the end. We KNOW we shall inherit eternal life!

*****CANON 17. If any one saith, that the grace of Justification is only attained to by those who are predestined unto life; but that all others who are called, are called indeed, but receive not grace, as being, by the divine power, predestined unto evil; let him be anathema.

In my humble opinion, God chooses all people to eternal life. The BIBLE states: 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (KJV) . . . God does NOT predestinate anyone to evil. NO one is predestined to evil - - - or to Hell. It is their choice. They decide. Their eternal destiny rests in the choices they make in their life time.

*****CANON 18. If any one saith, that the commandments of God are, even for one that is justified and constituted in grace, impossible to keep; let him be anathema.

The Bible states that only ONE Man was ever able to keep the Commandments of God. Only ONE Man was sinless. Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (KJV)

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (KJV)

*****CANON 19. If any one saith, that nothing besides faith is commanded in the Gospel; that other things are indifferent, neither commanded nor prohibited, but free; or, that the ten commandments nowise appertain to Christians; let him be anathema.

*****CANON 20. If any one saith, that the man who is justified and how perfect soever, is not bound to observe the commandments of God and of the Church, but only to believe; as if indeed the Gospel were a bare and absolute promise of eternal life, without the condition of observing the commandments ; let him be anathema.

• The Ten Commandments were given to ISRAEL! Exodus 20:1-2 And God spake all these words, saying, [2] I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. (KJV) Deut. 5:1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. (KJV)
• Here are the Commandments that JESUS gave to the church. Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (KJV) . . . And here are some more to match Jesus' Words! 1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. (KJV) Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (KJV) Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (KJV)

NO one can keep the Ten Commandments and IF you insist on trying, you shall be "cursed" because you must keep them ALL and that is more than the Ten Commandments - - - it is ALL the commandments which to my knowledge is 513! Deut. 27:26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. (KJV)

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. (KJV) . . . You CANNOT keep ALL the Commandments! NO WAY!!!

So, according to Jesus, people were under the Law until John the Baptist came. Matthew 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. (KJV)

Galatians 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. (KJV) . . . WHY then, did God give the Law? To show us just how wicked and guilty we are. But the Law was to last only until the coming of the Christ (Messiah) JESUS! Jesus made a better way for us!

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (KJV) . . . We are NOT under the Law - - - the Ten Commandments plus! We are under the GRACE of God!

*****CANON 24. If any one saith, that the justice received is not preserved and also increased before God through good works; but that the said works are merely the fruits and signs of Justification obtained, but not a cause of the increase thereof; let him be anathema.

Salvation is NOT a reward for the good things we do, so none of us can boast about it.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) . . . Works have NOTHING to do with justification or salvation!

If any one saith, that, in every good work, the just sins venially at least, or-which is more intolerable still-mortally, and consequently deserves eternal punishments; and that for this cause only he is not damned, that God does not impute those works unto damnation; let him be anathema.

ALL our sins are forgiven when we humble ourselves at the cross of Jesus and confess our sins to GOD, not a Catholic priest. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV)

Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: (KJV)

Eph.1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (KJV) Col. 1:12-14 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (KJV)

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (KJV)

Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. (KJV)

Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. (KJV)

Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. 19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. (KJV) . . . May I ask . . . don't these verses tell us clearly that our sins are forgiven? YES! All our sins DESERVE eternal punishment! BUT - - - when we are forgiven and washed in the precious blood of Jesus, we are NOT damned!

*****CANON 26. If any one saith, that there is no mortal sin but that of infidelity; or, that grace once received is not lost by any other sin, however grievous and enormous, save by that of infidelity ; let him be anathema.

God hates ALL sin. God does NOT categorize sin as we do - - - this is a big one, this is a little one! ALL sin is an abomination to Him (Deut.25:16). The BIBLE states: Proverbs 15:26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. (KJV)

Zechariah 8:16-17 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: [17] And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD. (KJV) . . . Even your thoughts can be sin!

Luke 16:13-15 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. [14] And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. [15] And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. (KJV) . . . God hates ALL sin.

*****CANON 30. If any one saith, that, after the grace of Justification has been received, to every penitent sinner the guilt is remitted, and the debt of eternal punishment is blotted out in such wise, that there remains not any debt of temporal punishment to be discharged either in this world, or in the next in Purgatory, before the entrance to the kingdom of heaven can be opened (to him); let him be anathema.

NOWHERE in the Bible does the word "purgatory" appear, neither is its doctine taught anywhere in its pages! The FALSE Catholic doctrine of purgatory brings false hope to people. The BIBLE states: Mark 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. (KJV) . . . The Catholic cult is "offending" millions with their man-made rules! Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (KJV)

Catholics stick stubbornly to the teachings that they have been taught. Anything that you believe is OK. They adamantly believe that they are going to Heaven because of their faith in the Catholic religion, and their good works and sacraments.

My dear friend, aAdding ANYTHING to faith alone in Jesus is a FALSE gospel, it is teaching another Jesus and another gospel (2 Cor.11:4) . . . and it is a definite road to hellfire (Eph.2:8-9; Rev.20:15). NO priest or pope should be called 'father' in a spiritual sense, and certainly NOT 'holy father' or much more damning 'most holy father'. JESUS clearly states it is WRONG! God alone is our Heavenly Father!
