which I consider to be the TRUE Bible. For those people
who are familiar only with the newer, easier to read bibles,
please take caution. These newer versions may be "easier
to understand" but, you most likely are "understanding"
something that may NOT true. This is the humble opinion
of this servant of the Lord.
MYSTERY,
BABYLON THE GREAT
Mystery Babylon is both a city
and a false, corrupt religious system. This coming “harlot”
religion will tolerate any and all ‘religions’
and cults, including devil worship, . . . ALL except TRUE
Christianity.
Rev. 17:1 And there came one of the
seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with
me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the
judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: (KJV)
NKJV = the great harlot who sits on many waters: NIV =
the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. NLT = the
great prostitute, who sits on many waters. TEV = the famous
prostitute is to be punished, that great city that is built
near many rivers. GW = that notorious prostitute who sits
on raging waters. NASB = the great harlot who sits on many
waters, ASV = the great harlot that sitteth upon many waters; Dar = the great harlot who sits upon the many waters; YLT = the great whore, who is sitting upon the many waters, NAU = the great harlot who sits on many waters, Msg = the
great Whore who sits enthroned over many waters; CEV = the
shameless prostitute who sits on many oceans. NWT = the
great harlot who sits on many waters.
Rev. 17:15 And he saith unto
me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth,
are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
(KJV) "Water" is a symbol
of many people. Also see: Jer.47:2; Psalm 18:4; Isa.17:12;
Eze.38:9; Rev.13:1.
Rev. 17:4 And the woman was arrayed
in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious
stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full
of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: (KJV) Purple and scarlet colour - the colors of
the Catholic church. Decked with gold and precious stones
and pearls - Catholic church one of the riches organizations
in the entire world.
NKJV = a golden cup full of abominations and filthiness
of her fornication: NIV = she held a golden cup in her hand,
filled with abominable things and the filth of her adultries: NLT = a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication: TEV = In her hand she held
a gold cup full of obscene and filthy things, the result
of her immorality. GW = In her hand she was holding a gold
cup filled with detestable and evil things from her sexual
sins. NASB = having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations
and of the unclean things of her immorality, ASV = having
in her hand a golden cup full of abominations, even the
unclean things of her fornication, Dar = having a golden
cup in her hand full of abominations and the unclean things
of her fornication; YLT = having a golden cup in her hand
full of abominations and uncleanness of her whoredom, NAU = having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and
of the unclean things of her immorality, Msg = She held
a gold chalice in her hand, brimming with defiling obscenities,
her foul fornications. CEV = In her hand she held a gold
cup filled with the filthy and nasty things she had done. NWT = in her hand a golden cup that was full of the unclean
things of her fornication.
Rev. 17:5 And upon her forehead was
a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER
OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (KJV)
NKJV = MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE
EARTH. NIV = MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH. NLT = Mother of All Prostitutes and Obscenities
in the World." TEV = mother of all prostitutes and
perverts in the world." GW = Mother of Prostitutes
and Detestable Things of the Earth. NASB = MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." ASV = mother
of the harlots and of the abominations of the earth. Dar = mother of the harlots, and of the abominations of the
earth. YLT = Mother of the Whores, and the Abominations
of the earth.' NAU = MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH." Msg = mother of whores and abominations
of the earth. CEV = MOTHER OF EVERY IMMORAL AND FILTHY THING
ON EARTH. NWT = a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the
mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the
earth.”
Rev. 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken
with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the
martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with
great admiration. (KJV)
NKJV = drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the
blood of the martyrs of Jesus: NIV = drunk with the blood
of the saints, and the blood of those who bore testimony
to Jesus: NLT = drunk with the blood of God's holy people
who were witnesses for Jesus. TEV = drunk with the blood
of God's people and the blood of those who were killed because
they had been loyal to Jesus. GW = drunk with the blood
of God's holy people and of those who testify about Jesus. NASB = drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the
blood of the witnesses of Jesus. ASV = drunken with the
blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of
Jesus. Dar = drunk with the blood of the saints, and with
the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. YLT = drunken from
the blood of the saints, and from the blood of the witnesses
of Jesus, NAU = drunk with the blood of the saints, and
with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. Msg = drunk, drunk
on the blood of God's holy people, drunk on the blood of
the martyrs of Jesus. CEV = drunk on the blood of God’s
people who had given their lives for Jesus: NWT = drunk
with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the
witnesses of Jesus.
Rev. 17:9 And here is the mind which
hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which
the woman sitteth. (KJV) Rome is built on seven
mountains! As I stated above, Mystery Babylon is
both a city and a false, corrupt religious system. The false
religious system (harlot) shall be controlled by, most probably
a pope, from the city of Rome. The one-world religion of
the future, has already had its beginning. Nearly all religions
are accepting doctrines of false religions, and nearly all
religions and all people today are saying that all religions
have saving power, which is false! Just Jesus can save your
soul.
Rev. 17:18 And the woman which thou
sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings
of the earth. (KJV)
